IC INFO;
Character Name: Poe Dameron
Canon: Star Wars
Canon Information: https://starwars.fandom.com/wiki/Poe_Dameron (Star Wars new canon includes their books and comics as canon. I wanted to give a heads up only because it's a long wiki)
Canon Point: Post TLJ
Age: 32
God Houses:

Tyr: He takes a lot of risks for the Resistance, he's always putting his life on the line. Poe not only could bring up a mutiny but he has caused a riot before for a mission as a distraction.

Heimdall: He's committed to the cause of the Resistance. At an early age he learned once you commit to something you follow it all the way.

Mimir: Poe does come up with plans and sometimes he doesn't. He makes quick decisions based on his feelings and sometimes those actions lead to not good decision making.

Personality:

Poe Dameron is more than a pilot, he believed for a long time that he's nothing but a pilot. His overall skills make him cocky since he's been piloting for almost thirty years. The experience he has means he can pilot basically any ship. The truthful statement of being able to fly anything isn't because of his cocky behavior. He's being completely honest with everything his says. He actually has a hard time lying and won't be able to pull it off. Poe can come off as very opinionated, having strong beliefs and the New Republic Navy finds him to be a loose cannon in a political sense. He isn't one to shy away from using political moves against his enemies and using any technological issues against them. Poe tries to record a situation with the First Order. So that they can show proof to the galaxy who the First Order truly are even before the reveal of Star Killer base.

Due to his commitment to the Resistance, Poe won't give up what he's started. He'll make sure to finish it no matter the cost or risk. Even if that risk means death. He takes extreme risks to keep hope alive within the Resistance and trying to keep it within the galaxy. Poe cares a lot for people, including his comrades. He has shown countless of times that he'll do anything for them. As well as ignoring orders that he believes shouldn't be listened to. Sometimes pilots have to make the tough calls out in the field since they are in the moment while their generals have to punish them later for their tough or rash calls. Poe went through being almost court marital, grounded and demoted to being promoted again. The last promotion coming in with that he better not mess this chance up. Otherwise he may not be getting another chance at becoming the leader that Leia wants.

He is learning in becoming a better leader. Poe still doesn't have all of the experience that Leia has with being in the rebellion since she was a teenager. There will be mistakes and growth over time. Even with those mistakes Poe grows from them and will not make the same mistake twice. He'll find a way to make up for his mistakes even if it means pressing his point to those that need to hear it. He's not one to turn away a deal if one has to be made but he'll make sure it's a fair deal over him having to owe them.

Poe doesn't have a lot of patience so he's not going to stand around and do nothing. The reasons for his behavior towards Holdo is in the lack of her commanding skills of the Resistance. Not telling him plans that would have helped eased tension and trust issues that he had for her. He started to ultimately see her as a threat since there's been plenty of times where the Resistance was faced with someone in their ranks being a traitor. All he kept being face with was soldiers who were beaten and losing hope. Poe acted upon that and he lost his temper, which was something he didn't want to do. He acted that way because he only saw the fueling of the transports ship with having no way to defend themselves versus what Holdo's plan truly would be. His ultimate goal was making sure the rest of the Resistance was still going to be the Resistance.

The fight in the galaxy is meant for everyone. Mostly Poe makes a hefty choice of wanting to save his team that Leia grants his commander promotion back to him. He states what the Resistance stands for. That they go back for people that are in that much trouble. Poe won't leave anyone behind. There's a big dislike for the First Order because he keeps seeing them kill or when faced with a name for a Stormtrooper he realizes that they're just expandable. He cares about all live, not just humans, not just droids. In order for the galaxy to live on there has to be people in it. He isn't intimidated by Kylo Ren and he doesn't like him either. His first encounter with him was Kylo Ren striking down a man that he had been trying to find for quite some time. Not only that but he was tortured by him, which is one of his biggest failures in his opinion. Poe didn't stand a chance against a force user. He is only human and he does joke during the darkest of times to ease tension.

Poe comes up with join the Resistance and no one gets left behind. He truly believes that the galaxy can have hope and be at peace. It's going to take everyone and not just him.

Introspect Sample:

Asgard is a name that Poe hasn't heard of before. He wanted to get a good feel for the place. In order to do so, speaking with the gods individually seemed like the best option to ask them about Asgard. He got a feeling from them that this was truly their home. He would be living here without going back to his home world. Poe was frustrated and upset over the fact that he wouldn't be returning back to face the rebellion fight that was beginning. However, if he’s going to be living here too, he wanted to see what he was dealing with. Poe’s questions were simple. They were basic questions of what it is like to live here. He wasn't sure how they would be towards humans. There wasn't anything special about Poe. He could fly anything and is one of the best pilots around. The ultimate question came of how they might be able to leave.

Poe kept his temper under wraps knowing it won't do him any good here. Not being able to leave and not having a way out would make anyone’s blood boil. He did learn if he encountered anyone to try to get as much information from them as possible. That’s exactly why he went to each god. There would be no reason to threaten them. He doesn't shoot first unless he has to. The Resistance had to be careful about making open war before Star Killer base and he definitely wouldn't want war here. Poe only wants peace and hope.

He wanders the streets aimlessly since he can't seem to stay still. Poe knows why that is. The feeling of being able to do nothing came on hard. Things had slowed down way too fast for his liking. He had to admit, he felt better speaking with the gods to see which ones he might actually want to serve or want to be under. Being a pilot and being part of a military group, he’s been under so many people that he wants to see if any god or goddess share the same beliefs. Those that come close to them he would be more drawn towards. He wants to try to make a good decision in it as well. He’s been making far too many mistakes and messing things up badly. All of that is due to not being in his comfort zone.

Poe rubs the back of his neck while looking at the natives with the colorful flowers. Everything seems normal enough; the purple flowers were questionable with him being happy with everything. He wished that BB-8 were around so he could continue logging with him. As much as he disliked it, he could get all of his thoughts out. He would be able to say what happened and it would feel more real to him. He hopes it had been all a dream but he knew it wasn't. Poe will keep moving forward and try to find a way to leave.

The gods aren't bad people, but the arrivals need to make their own judgements on them. If the gods chose to live in peace he could do the same while he’s here. Unlike the Crèche, he has more time here to learn of the gods’ ways versus having no time and finding a map that would lead the galaxy to hope. It felt as if it had been a long time since then, but it truly hasn't been. Poe did find the map and a bunch of other events happened after that. He’s appreciative of everything the gods have provided for them. If the gods start to show a more malicious, intent he will act upon it.
